Accreditation: A process by which a product, program, service, or function is evaluated against defined standards and awarded a recognition by a third party if in compliance with the standards” (Association Trends, 2016)

The Center administers three accreditations awarded by the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI).   The accreditations measure:

  •   How well your products, programs, or operations are supported by a need and

  •   How well they deliver on your promise to the organization or customer.

The International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI), a 501 (c)(3), was founded in 1962.  The association is dedicated to improving individual, organizational, and societal performance.  The steps to get your product, program, or function accredited are:

  •   You submit the application describing your product, program, or function.
  •   Your description is reviewed by trained qualified reviewers
  •   You participate in virtual interviews and demonstrations.  You may have a site visit.
  •   You may submit your application at any time.
  •   Organizational membership in ISPI is required and is part of the fee.
  •   You participate in an annual audit that uses an online survey and a virtual interview.
  •   You resubmit every five years.

What is different about ISPI's accreditations?

  •   The standards focus on results and outcomes
  •   They are for products, programs, and functions that produce worthy results
